Please start the process by just dropping me a message and saying hello, or feel free to call if you’d prefer. Before I can give you a quote though, I will need some more detailed info. You can also read my Terms & Conditions.
Mixing
- I’ll send you a link to upload a rough, working mix of each track. mp3 is fine.
- Then with either an accompanying text document or an email, as much detail as you can give me, such as:
- Channel count
- How many mics are on the drums
- The bit depth and sample rate of the recording
- Whether there any specific fx on anything you want to keep
- How you envisage the final track sounding and any references you want to site (with relevant links)
Do let me know if you’re unsigned and self-funding this project. I try to give unsigned acts a 25% discount where possible.
- I’ll return a quote and any particular ideas I may have about production. If you wish to accept I require either 50% of the balance or £200, whichever is greater, before I begin work, along with email acknowledgement that you’ve read my FAQ and Terms & Conditions.
Please note for jobs under £200 full payment is required.
- I’ll send you an upload link with which to deposit your audio files. Please read this FAQ for more detailed information on exactly what’s required and how to extract them.
- Once payment and files are received I will do my absolute best to complete the work within the advised timescale, sending regular mixes for evaluation via mp3.
- Once we think we’ve reached the end of the revision stage I will ask you to officially “sign the work off” and I can proceed to bouncing the final full-res wav files.
- On receiving the full balance of payment I will email you a link to download your finished mixes.
I would also be happy to give you a combined quote for mixing and mastering your tracks. Please read this FAQ for more information.
Mastering
- After our initial hello, please email me some more information:
- Track titles and length
- If an EP or an album, what format, and whether you need me to assemble them in order with a DDP file
- Any extra masters you may require eg. Instrumental mix (assuming they just run through with the same settings ok, no extra charge will be incurred). If a second set of masters at a different level are required, perhaps for streaming AND CD manufacture, an extra charge will be incurred, although it won’t be double
- ISRC codes and any other metadata to be encoded; (see this FAQ)
- How you envisage the final track sounding and any references you want to site (with relevant links)
